The game boasts a 10/10 user rating on Steam, as well as having a rich community of players who have added new weapons, vehicles, mods, and maps to the game's Steam Workshop page, for other players to download and add to their own gameplay. The game was first released on the Steam gaming platform as an Early Access title, meaning it is still a work in progress, yet has amassed quite a following. The game takes inspiration from game series Battlefield or Star Wars: Battlefront.

The game is known for its ragdolls like physics and large scale combat modes, in addition to the variety of ways in which players can play. You can download the Ravenfield Beta here for free.Ravenfield for Windows is a single-player first-person shooter video game created by Johan "SteelRaven7" Hassel, which was first released on May 18th, 2017, on Windows, macOS, and Linux. It would be great if this game was multiplayer and you could play against real people like a team death match but that’s not to say that it isn’t very enjoyable in the available single player mode. Ravenfield can be a bit rough around the edges but for a free game it really does embody the spirit of classic FPS games and it really is a lot of fun supposedly you can also drive jeeps and pilot helicopters although I could not work out how to do this but it was still a lot of fun shooting the enemies and having some kamikaze runs.

The game is by no means easy, you can choose between a few different weapons, and AK-47 and heavy duty shotgun and a sniper rifle and all the weapons are a lot of fun although the sniper rifle seems to be the most sensible as you can keep a safe distance from the enemies and fire at them from cover although it’s not as much fun as going gung-ho with the heavy duty shotgun but this will almost certainly lead to a quick demise. Ravenfield is a single player first person shooter similar in style to Battlefield, this is the Beta version so it does have some bugs and the people are kind of low resolution faceless blue or red kind of Lego looking figures however the background actually looks astounding and incredibly realistic.
